In an interview done decades after their 1967 divorce, in the midst of talking about their collaborations in the 1960’s that helped define the New Wave movement, the interviewer suddenly asked them, “can one be happy again after having such an intense relationship?”

In a rough translation, Anna Karina responds “Yes, one can be happy, but in a different way.”

Godard essentially responds “No, I believe one can be much happier.”

Anna Karina begins to tear up and excuses herself from the interview.

“I can imagine being about 40 and looking for him again and turning up that he’s settled and he’s got a beautiful wife and some beautiful kids and he’s completely happy and I’m still on my own.”

I just watched this, and spent probably 65% of it in tears. One of the most depressing movies i’ve seen in a very long time. Don’t see this if you’re feeling a little down and please, don’t see it alone.

Daca as detine macar unul din ele, categoric nu l-as lasa atins de clorul din bazin sau sarea de mare la pretul asta.

In general nu-mi plac albumele foto de la nunti. Cred totusi ca Ed si Ginny au avut o nunta superba.

Nu foarte de mult mi-am cumparat si eu o pereche de blugi scurti cu talie inalta de care pot sa spun ca sunt foarte mandra. Au costat mult dar pur si simplu ii ador. Din pacate nu am avut ocazia sa ii port decat de vreo 2-3 ori cu vremea asta. Maine e ziua mea, vreau sa ploua iar parul sa-mi stea mereu asa.
